Records requests submitted through your portal can be routed in a number of ways. Most commonly, requests are routed based on the type of request being submitted. Initially, a request can be assigned to an individual or dropped in a ‘bucket’ or ‘queue’. We recommend that requests be ultimately assigned to an individual so that everyone knows who is primarily responsible for the request.

Yes, you control which requests are assessed fees. It is common to charge the public for background checks while handling requests for other LEAs ‘pro bono’.
